The Official Start of Chipmunk Season
Each summer, the cats kill dozens of chipmunks in a short time span, and leave their bodies on the porch, for unsuspecting people to step on.
Then, a couple weeks later, Chipmunk Season is over, and the cats go back to just hacking up hairballs for us to step on.
Today (apparently) was the official start of Chipmunk Season.
