Across the Pond Fundraiser

I do not personally know the person who organized the fundraiser, nor do I know anything about her boyfriend, whose plane ticket the fundraiser was raising funds for.
After hearing many delicious and entertaining comments, I have decided to forsake them all and comment solely on what I observed.
